Hello and welcome to our brand new (online) home!ย Notice the new design. Notice that we’re no longer over at blogspot, but we’re a dot net. Notice how gorgeously clean and tidy everything is thanks to Heather over atย Farmgirl Gourmet. Notice the new commenting system. Notice everything. We’re sporting a brand new look and we’re LOVING IT! More tweaks to come, but PLEASE be sure to subscribe via email or RSS to the new site! Thank you!

Two years already – where did the time go?! Oh, I know. It went to IACP in New York; it went to Brugal in Dominican Republic (post coming this week!); it went to Sabra in Virginia; and it actually all started when it went to Las Vegas, NV! I can’t believe our little blog is two today and it’s all thanks to YOU, YOU, and YOU!

Thank YOU for reading my recipes, adventures, mishaps, and thoughts.
Thank YOU for commenting when something looks delicious (and when it doesn’t as well!)
Thank YOU for liking us on Facebook.
Thank YOU for emailing me with encouraging words when I needed it the most.
Thank YOU for tweeting with me in the late hours of the night.
Thank YOU for double-tapping my Instagram photos.
Thank YOU for pushing me to be better every day.

Throughout these two years, things have changed and evolved. We got married was the big event (even though it was a small 10-guest wedding!) I started out as a baker and somehow ended up as a cook. M started developing more and more recipes for the blog, while still staying behind the scenes (where he likes it!) We still work on a gorgeous island at an amazing restaurant.ย And in the past year, we’ve met Josie, Brian, Michelle, Shulie, Brandy, Patti, Jackie, another Michelle, Abby, Elizabeth, and Maria. Whew, and I’m sure we met more amazing people, but that’s the short list!

And not only have we met amazing people, we got to work with some amazing brands as well! We cooked in amazing Anolon cookware, we crafted some drinks with Wild Hibiscus, we ate Sabra hummus in everything, we learned that Idaho Spuds were delicious in cake, we fell in love with Passion Fruit Chobani, and we have used probably every single tool OXO sells.

None of these would have happened if this blog didn’t exist. So from the bottom of our cooking hearts, we thank you! Now let’s go and make this 3rd year of Cooking with Books legen… DARY!
