With the crazy life of 14 hour shifts at work and no time to even grocery shop, my life is now composed of quick and easy meals that take less than 10 minutes to make. I cook all day at work, and sure, sometimes I come home and bake for 4 more hours just for the fun of it. But most of the times, I really just want to eat something delicious and then sleep.

This is where Sabra comes in. As you know, I currently have a partnership with Sabra, making me a Sabra Tastemaker. Which means, I typically have Sabra Hummus in the house, making it easy to prepare a meal in minutes. I’m not one to dip carrots and celery into hummus and call it a meal; I need substance, I need flavor! So what better than a quick wrap stuffed with hummus goodness, meaty pork, and fresh herbs and greens?!

If you can’t find the Sabra Garden Hummus Asian Fusion at your local store, be sure to ask for it and they’ll carry it! What’s so special about it? Well, it’s infused with fresh ginger, carrots, red pepper and asian spices. When we talked to Mary Dawn, R&D Chef at Sabra, she explained how this flavor came to be:

“We thought about what goes with garbanzos and of course, we thought sesame seeds (tahini). From there, we threaded a web of flavors and connections and what cuisine do you think about when you think sesame? Asian of course! It was a win-win situation!”

Ingredients

  • 1 large tortilla corn or flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 boneless skinless pork cutlet, sliced into strips
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon Aleppo Pepper ground
  • 3 tablespoons Sabra Asian Fusion Hummus
  • handful of mixed greens and fresh cilantro

Instructions

  • Heat the tortilla over a low fire or in the oven. Reserve warm.
  • In a hot saute pan, heat olive oil. Whisk together soy sauce, honey, Sriracha and Aleppo Pepper, and coat pork strips in it.
  • Add to hot saute pan and cook for a minute on each side. The strips are thin enough that they will cook quickly, so do not overcook them!
  • Spread Sabra Asian Fusion Hummus on tortilla, add pork strips and top with fresh greens and cilantro.

Disclaimer: Although I am a #SabraTastemaker, my opinions are my own (duh!) and my love for Sabra is true and oh so strong. Specially for this Asian Fusion Hummus!

  3. This looks so good. 14 hour days and I don’t know if I’d want to eat at all. It’s good that there are great products worth eating and if you recommend it, it’s good.
