One of the best things about living on Martha’s Vineyard is all the fantastic restaurants that are open during the summer season. Sure, I wish they were open year-round but the fact that they are open for just a couple of months makes us islanders appreciate them even more. But when you do find those year round restaurants, they become favorites – whether it’s the dead of winter or the height of summer. Park Corner Bistro is one of them – I had a chance to check it out while writing a piece for Dressed MV and fell in love with this drink – the Strawberry Fields Forever!
The perfect summer drink – especially when you can make the strawberry puree with fresh strawberries! Some of the best strawberries on island can be found at Morning Glory Farm (make sure to read my Strawberry Festival post!) on Martha’s Vineyard. Do you have a favorite local farm? And if you’re ever on Martha’s Vineyard, and specifically in the town of Oak Bluffs, stop by Park Corner Bistro and try their delicious cocktails. But don’t skip out on the food either – they make some incredibly awesome appetizers and entrees. Try the Grilled Mac & Cheese Sandwich: sweet Portuguese bread roll, buttered & toasted and stuffed with some of the best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had, laced with smoked bacon. Another favorite? The Pork Belly Steamed Buns – house made buns are perfectly fluffy and stuffed with kimchi and pork belly.

This sounds right up my alley. I don’t have any berry vodka; might have to try it with some lemon vodka. Try it as in make it tomorrow. 🙂
