If you’re a lover of craft beers and visiting Martha’s Vineyard this summer, be sure to stop by Bad Martha Farmer’s Brewery.

Bad Martha Farmer's Brewery

Our summers have gotten a little boozier with the new addition in town: Bad Martha beer has set up shop in Edgartown with a farmer’s brewery and after attending the opening of it, I’m certain to say that it might just become the summer hot spot for thirsty travelers and foodies alike.  Settled in the heart of Edgartown, Martha’s Vineyard, the Bad Martha Farmer’s Brewery is home to some great tasting beer that you’ve got to taste!

At the brewery, you’ll be able to find a variety of their brews, which include: Chocolate Stout, Honey Helles, Belgian Wit, Double IPA, Martha’s Vineyard Ale, Island IPA, and Vineyard Summer Ale. This wide range of distinct beers means that there is something for everyone. My current favorite is the Honey Helles, a very delicate and German-styled lager that is made with over 30 pounds of local Martha’s Vineyard honey! As I tasted it, I realized how great this beer would be for beer-cocktails as well.

After reading the posts by my friend Guinevere over at Point B Realty: Bad Martha Farmer’s Brewery Opens Its Doors In Edgartown and A New Beer In Town – Bad Martha Beer Lands On The Shores Of Martha’s Vineyard, I knew the island was in for a treat and my oh my, are we!

With a gorgeous outdoor patio/porch area where you can enjoy your beer (soon they’ll be having locally made bar snacks like pretzels from the Scottish Bakeshouse in Vineyard Haven) and relax on a sunny afternoon this summer. Note they are open from 11am until 7pm.

Another thing to note is the endless support to the community that the brewery commits to. Not only are they selling local products like honey, chocolate, baked goods, and more, but a percent of their profits goes to the Island Food Pantry.
