This blog post is two in one: a delicious recipe + a holiday gift idea.

First up, this recipe for Avocado Falafel Dip is just what you need. It’s bright, light, and delicious! But for the recipe, we need avocados and I’m here to tell you all about Avocadoor, a service that delivers fresh avocados straight to your door, year round!

Let’s talk about this recipe and admire how quick and easy it is. I suggest using a food processor or blender to achieve the smooth, creamy texture, but you can surely also make this by hand by mashing it, whatever you’d like!

Avocado Dip with Falafel Flavors, tell me more…

Everyone has that jar of tahini paste (sesame seed paste) that lingers for way too long in the back of the fridge. This is a way to put some of it to good use! Alongside a blend of spices and a burst of bright lemon, this avocado dip has all the flavors of your favorite Mediterranean dish but in a simple and easy to make dip.

What makes something taste like “falafel”?

It’s the spices, alongside the tahini paste, that make this dish sing. In this recipe, I used a blend of: coriander powder, cumin powder, freshly ground black pepper, and a little pinch of cayenne pepper, which is optional.

The blend of these spices are reminiscent of falafel, and have become my favorite. You can also find “falafel” spice blend already made and super easy.

Avocados delivered to your door, year round…

Back to the perfect gift idea: avocado delivered to their door! Fresh, avocados from the grove, delivered to your door.

When you order from AvocaDoor Deliveries, you will be receiving the freshest, highest quality, and great tasting avocados to your door straight from the grove.

Their avocados are responsibly sourced from California, Mexico, Peru, Chile and Colombia. Bringing you the right avocado at the right time. They specialize in the Hass variety, but also offer others such as Lamb Hass, Gem’s, Bacons and a few other delicious avocados when in season. Note that they do arrive green and will need to ripen, but they are worth the weight when they do!

Promo Code: Use the code MARNELY for a $1.50 coupon off your order. Avocado gift boxes range in pricing from $4-8, which is a deal! Even when adding shipping to the East Coast, these are fantastic prices.
