Doesn’t this picture above just make your day/night brighter, literally? Sometimes we just need a burst of sunshine on the cold (winter) fall days! Nothing shines more than getting some fresh, seasonal citrus and consuming it it fresh! Check out the chart below from the Sunkist website that details when your favorite citrus is available!

Takeya was generous enough to send me their Orange Juice Maker for me to test out and oh did I! Our local grocery store had tangerines on sale for 77 cents, so I stocked up and decided to start my day with freshly squeezed tangerine juice, which is quite unique to me since it’s not a regular citrus juice! Juicing the fruit was simple and didn’t require much strength.
Some of the details of this product from the Takeya website:
- Airtight twist top lid locks in freshness
- Acraglass™ is BPA free & food safe
- Stores in fridge door or on its side
- Spill & leakproof
- Soft grip handle
- Includes: 24oz airtight jug, juice attachment & juicing mat
One of the things I loved the most was the concept of the juicing mat. The Takeya designers really know their product and the mat certainly does it’s job of not letting your juice maker slip. Another great feature is the airtight twist lid. We had fresh juice for a few days and it tasted just as fresh on the last day, as it did on the first day!
Also, since we’re headed into colder weather, remember citrus fruits are great when used to prevent colds and the flu. Instead of popping Vitamin C tablets, drink a glass of fresh orange or tangerine juice every morning!
You can shop for your own Orange Juice Maker on the Takeya website, as well as like them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter! They’re a great company with amazing social media interaction and quality designed products.
