Do you and your significant other go on date nights? Or, if you’re single, do you take yourself out for date night? You should! Whether as a couple or just yourself, date nights are a great way to relax and enjoy local eateries in your neighborhood. This week we’re sharing one of our favorite restaurants not only in Edgartown, but quite possibly the entire Island.
Atria Restaurant and Brick Cellar Bar is located on Main Street in Edgartown and is THE happening spot during the summer season; you’ll see people grabbing drinks and burgers at the bar, families enjoying a quiet dinner in their restaurant, and other just enjoying their gorgeous outdoor space. During the off-season on Sundays they offer 2-for-1 Burger Nights, a great day if you’re trying to save your pennies during the cold winter! Excuse the dark photos, these were snapped to capture the food but not distract us from date night!
Taleggio Cheese Fondue with crostini, arugula, and guanciale: a great way to start the meal, the bitter greens balance the fatty, melted cheese. If you like funky, soft creme cheeses, this is for you!
Tuna Tartar with Wasabi Sticky rice, seaweed, leche de tigre: the Asian flair of this dish tickled our tastebuds. The spiced rice had subtle heat, which the raw tuna helped ease.
Carrot Miso Soup, crispy carrots, sesame oil: it was a cold winter night and this soup was their “soup of the moment”. One of my favorite vegetables are carrots and enjoyed the take on this classic soup.
Wok Fired Crispy Calamari with Sambal Aioli watercress, fragrant herbs, preserved lemon: the signature appetizer of the restaurant, it always hits the spot. The manager informed us the fisherman catches the fresh calamari and freezes it right on the boat to keep it fresh. Once at the restaurant, the chef cleans and prepared the calamari, soaking it in buttermilk until it s ordered. The outcome? The most tender calamari you’ve ever had!
Grilled Swordfish with Watercress & Preserved Lemon dill whipped potatoes, lemon beurre blanc: extremely fresh swordfish over dill whipped potatoes – perfect pairing! This was ordered by M. and he cleaned his plate!
Jerk Spiced Pork Chop – cabbage slaw, roasted and candied sweet potatoes: This is the dish I ordered since I’m a huge pork chop fan and it was tender and flavorful. The fresh slaw added a great textural element and the candied sweet potatoes on the bottom created an incredible sauce for the pork!
Atria Restaurant and Brick Cellar is located on 136 Main Street, Edgartown, MA 02539.

My boyfriend and I have to schedule date night weeks in advance–since we’re both pretty broke and our days off don’t correspond. This is why I’m a huuuge fan of Groupon deals, heh.
