Humphrey’s
Nothing says lunch time in Edgartown like running to Humphrey’s on your 30 minute break and chowing down on a Californian Wrap! This happening lunch spot is a simple local with very little seating indoors and a few benches outdoors, but you’ll typically eat and run! It’s the perfect spot to grab a few wraps or sandwiches and head to the beach.

Scottish Bakehouse
I discovered the Scottish Baehouse while doing a little research for MVOL.com and as a result, I wrote a short piece on my visit here. The Scottish Bakehouse deserves an hour or two, when you can peruse their counters and menus carefully, choosing what to eat, what to nibble on, what to take home with you. Their outdoor sitting is fantastic, with sunny areas and shaded tables. Bring a book and eat your way through their breads, baked goods, and drinks!

Giordano’s
This recommendation comes from the husband, M. He is an ardent fan of Gio’s and every Monday (his only day off a week during the season), he heads to Gio’s and grabs a slice or two, no excuses. If you love New York style pizza, thin crust and perfect balance of cheese to sauce, then this is your spot. Traveling with friends that don’t want pizza? Well, you’re in luck because Gio’s is also known for their clam bar, the first clam bar on island! Everything from fried scallops, clams, calamari, haddock and more, to their traditional fish and chips, fish sandwiches, and lobster rolls. Gio’s definitely has something for everyone!

La Choza
Located in Vineyard Haven, La Choza is a burrito spot that just opened up earlier this year. Heck, I think it opened when it was still cold out and even then, the line to get burritos crawled out their front door and into main street! Seth Gambino makes some heavenly burritos with fresh ingredients and great flavor. My favorite? His Chorizo Burrito, with turtle beans and yellow rice, cilantro, cheese, and so many more fixings. An afforable choice for lunch or late night dining, since they are open until 11pm!

Offshore Ale Company
It sure is great when most of my research consists of restaurants on Martha’s Vineyard. After visiting Offshore various times during the winter, I wrote a review of their dinner service on MVOL.com as well as interviewing their master brewer. Because yes, Offshore Ale Company brews some of the best beer on Cape Cod. Check them out for live music entertainment, great brews, local oysters at the bar, and a full menu for lunch and dinner!

Extra: Morning Glory Farm
If you find yourself driving or biking down West Tisbury Road, don’t miss Morning Glory Farm. Sure, it’s a farm and they sell vegetables and herbs, but what does that have to do with lunch? Well, those same vegetables and herbs can be found used in their salad bar ingredients, as well as at their Juice Bar which mixes up some delicious liquid concoctions for the hot summer days. Incredibly affordable, my lastest lunch was $9 for a biodegradable box filled to the brim with veggies, pasta, nuts, and including a natural soda and pita chips!
