Don’t you wish you would’ve started a count of how many cookies you’d bake during the holiday months? I can honestly say I haven’t baked as much as some of you all, but I’m well in the hundreds, and that’s without even really counting!  Surely after all this baking, your supplies will need to be restocked, so keep on reading on how to enter our giveaway!

After being invited to bake with Hershey’s this holiday season, I wanted to go for the traditional, showcasing the Hershey’s Kiss Shape, nestling it into a crinkled cookie and what better recipe than the Chocolate Peanut Butter Blossoms?

1/2 cup shortening
1 cup REESE’S Creamy Peanut Butter
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk

Granulated sugar

Directions

  2. Beat shortening and peanut butter in large bowl until well blended. Add brown sugar and 1/3 cup granulated sugar; beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture.
  3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheet.
