This classic dessert is adapted to fit not only the heart-healthy category, but the delicious category as well! Flavored with antioxidant packed dark chocolate and red wine, it's the perfect dessert to whip up for your loved one!
Prepare 6 glass jars or ramekins, to pour pudding in when ready. Set aside.
In a small saucepan, simmer both non-dairy beverages, until lukewarm.
In a separate medium saucepan, whisk together cornstarch, sugar, and salt. Quickly whisk in the warm milk and cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, until it's thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
Remove from heat and whisk in the chocolate until it is all melted.
Add vanilla and wine. Quickly pour into glass jars and chill.
To make crumble, fold together all the ingredients and spread on cookie sheet. Bake in a 350F oven for 15 minutes. Let cool before topping pudding with it.
