Easing back into blogging after the busiest summer season in the restaurant, an unexpected tragedy in the family, and overall life just doing its thing. Looking forward to reconnecting with my readers after months of being away – so if you are still reading, I thank you and kick off the welcome back tour with this Hot Macadamia Latte that’s warming me up this season and giving me all the comfort.

Now that fall is here to stay, it’s nice to cozy up to warmer drinks. Although I do admire those hearty New Englanders that drink iced coffees all through the winter, I am not there yet, not even after living here for over 12 years. A warm cup of well made coffee just hits the spot so well, and that’s why I am loving this Macadamia Latte.

The nutty flavor of this latte (that reminds you of a holiday cookie) comes from two places: the milk itself is macadamia milk by a brand called milkadamia, plus a drop of almond extract to really bring out the toasty sweet notes of this unsweetened milk. It’s a super easy latte to make and really elevates your afternoon treat. Because let’s be real – I can’t have cute coffees for breakfast. My first coffee HAS to be black, and then I can dabble in the nicer things, ha.

This is a plant based drink because not only does it use macadamia milk instead of cow’s milk (it’s 2022, who still drinks cow’s milk?!) but it also uses condensed coconut milk, one of my favorite latest discoveries! Nature’s Charm is the brand and honestly I’ve also bought their coconut whipping cream and evaporated milk and they all deliver on quality and taste!
