Chocolate Cherry Granola Smoothie Bowl is the perfect recipe for breakfast!

As the season slow down, my breakfast options have become more intentional. Instead of rushing out of the house with a coffee or quick smoothie, I have time to actually sit down and enjoy a meal before leaving for work. A smoothie bowl has become my choice lately – it’s just as easy as a smoothie, only with more texture and flavor because of the toppings I include. Plus, the thickness of the smoothie bowl mixture makes it seem like I’m actually eating something instead of slurping it through a metal straw – which ultimately makes me satiated, faster. And that’s here this Chocolate Cherry Granola Smoothie Bowl comes in!

Recently in the mail, a delicious package from Sweet Home Farm arrived with a variety of their granolas – and that’s what I topped it with. Note, this post is not sponsored by them but I wanted to share how delicious they were since I’ve been consuming it by the handful these past weeks. Here’s why I love this particular one that’s Sweet Home Farm Honey Nut:

The ingredients: Whole Rolled Oats, Milled Cane Sugar, Whole Rolled Wheat, Expeller Pressed Canola Oil, Coconut, Honey, Almonds, Molasses, Natural Flavor, Salt, Herb Blend (Sugar, Cardamom Seed, Fennel Seed, Fenugreek Seed, Nutmeg).

Look at those ingredients – it’s basically a recipe for making granola at home! No crappy ingredients, no fillers, and that herb spice blend is legit. Cardamom, fennel, fenugreek, and nutmeg – how gourmet does that sound?! If you think it’s high in sugar, it’s really not – just 11 grams per 1/2 cup and to me, that’s totally fine. Specially since it’s also:

  • Non-GMO Project Verified
  • Kosher
  • Certified Halal
  • Good Source of Dietary Fiber
  • Low Sodium
  • 32g of Whole Grains Per Serving

Give this smoothie bowl a try – and the granola too! To make it extra nourishing, I topped mine with bee pollen, chia seeds, and hemp hearts, but you can top with whatever you have in your pantry like nuts, coconut, cacao nibs, etc. The blend of tart cherries and the cocoa powder really make this not only a great breakfast but perfect late night treat as the cherries will help you sleep better!

  1. I love the idea of being more intentional with mornings. I definitely leave extra time for myself in the morning since I hate rushing, but it’s still not enough to sit down to breakfast. I need to make this delicious bowl and take the time to sit for a few 🙂
