Tahini turmeric dressing is just what your salad needs! Now that the weather has gotten chillier in the New England weather – but not cold enough for stews and soups – hearty salads with tasty dressings are my go to. Recreate this unique and delicious Tahini Turmeric Dressing at home and dress kale, grains, and your arugula with it!
It’s in the 60s in New England and I’m wearing a scarf. I’m not ready to retire my flip flops just yet, but they don’t make an appearance all too often anymore. I’m convinced summer was just a blink of an eye and can’t believe it’s really October, but the calendar doesn’t lie. It’s fall and it’s going to get cold, soon enough.
While we wait for those temperatures in the lower 40s, let’s indulge in hearty salads and creamy dressings like my current favorite – an antioxidant packed, nutrient dense Tahini Turmeric Dressing!
If you know me personally, you know I’m addicted to turmeric. I put it in my smoothies, in my tea, in my salads – I have yet to put it in my desserts, but soon enough. It wasn’t long until I create a salad dressing that showcased my favorite ingredient and here it is – Tahini Turmeric Salad Dressing!
Can we talk about how magical turmeric is? And please note – I am not a doctor. Nothing I say should be taken like I was a doctor. Read this and remember: she’s not a doctor, just someone middle obsessed with this gorgeous, bright orange root vegetable.
This summer my knee started hurting. Hurting so much I was limping for an entire week. I couldn’t deal, specially since I work at a restaurant on my feet for 10-14 hours a day. So I really do need my knees – duh, don’t we all. My best friend, hearing my complaints, reminds me to drink turmeric tea and a lightbulb went off. I brewed a stock pot (yes, STOCK POT) of turmeric tea (Numi Organic is my favorite) and drank two liters a day. A week later, I can attest to NO knee pain whatsoever. Was it the turmeric? I’m not sure but I am sure, if that makes sense. Turmeric is magical and you can search online all about its benefits, but it’s mainly anti-inflammatory, those my thoughts on it healing my knee.
Go forth and feel the powers of turmeric! Your health awaits.
