Fruity nut topped hummus is an unofficial meal recipe in celebration of National Hummus Day. I’m celebrating along with my friends at Sabra, and we have a really tasty treat for you!

Have you ever been hungry enough for a meal when it’s not even remotely close to meal time? Do you know what I mean? You want something a little bit more than a simple snack like fresh fruit, but you don’t want to fill up too much, because you want to be able to eat when the official meal time arrives. That, my friends, is why Sabra came up with the idea of the “unofficial meal”, and it is also why I created an #UnofficialMeal recipe for fruity nut topped hummus for you.
This meal before a meal is my take on a French charcuterie platter. If you just squinted your eyes and muttered, “A what-do-what platter?”, you’re missing out on a savory appetizer experience of dried and cured meats, nuts, lots of crusty, crunchy breads, and spreads like hummus.
That is what inspired me to create this fruity nut topped hummus, and how it became a reality.
Jump over to the Sabra website and you can share the excitement about #NationalHummusDay. Plus, Sabra is giving away coupons for your next purchase of Sabra hummus!
I would love to hear what you would eat for your unofficial meal. Please leave a comment and share your recipe ideas with me!
