A banana coffee cashew smoothie will get your day started on the right foot! It has a jolt of caffeine from coffee, and healthy fats and protein from cashews. Sweetness and vitamins from bananas round this smoothie out and make it a delicious breakfast option.
The first thing I do every morning is open my eyes and make my way to the kitchen, where I brew a cup or a pot of coffee. The amount I make depends on how much energy I need that day. When I do need extra caffeine, and brew a pot full of coffee, I never drink it all. And I won’t anger the coffee gods by pouring the leftover coffee down the drain! I pour the coffee into a mason jar and tuck it in the fridge for later consumption.
One morning, I thought to add cold coffee to my breakfast smoothie. That’s how this Banana Cashew Coffee Smoothie came to fruition. I used leftover coffee, frozen bananas, my favorite nut butter (cashew!), and protein-packed Greek yogurt.
If you love coffee as much as I do, make this banana coffee cashew smoothie!
It’s creamy and packed with delicious coffee flavor. Plus, the cashew butter adds a hint of nuttiness, the perfect pairing with coffee. The banana sweetens everything, and the yogurt acts as the perfect canvas for this smoothie.
You could also add a splash of vanilla or coffee extract to bump up the flavors, but I love it just the way it is. Banana Cashew Coffee Smoothie are now my four favorite words in the dictionary, and soon enough, they’ll be yours too.
