Smoothie addict, that’s what I am. It’s not because I’m super healthy, but because I try really hard at it. Ideally, my breakfast would be three pieces of buttered toast dunk into my coffee. Four, if I’m careless. See, I’m a carb-loving, butter-slathering food writer. And it’s 2015, the year I turn 30, which means I’m resolving to be healthier – meaning I don’t even buy bread, since I know I’ll consume it in 1.5 days and shamefully lie to my husband when he asks where the bread is (oh, it was moldy…oh, I fed it to the birds…)

There’s a reason to all this babbling – the reason is that I make morning smoothies so I don’t go crazy on the carbs. Smoothies satisfy my hunger, are quite tasty when I combine the right ingredients, and are oh-so-healthy! That’s why I’m bringing you my latest favorite: Chocolate Blueberry Smoothie! For the chocolate, I used chocolate hazelnut milk and combined with frozen blueberries and a touch of sweetness from organic, natural agave light, it’s my favorite way to start my day!   • 1 cup frozen bluerries
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate hazelnut milk
  • 2 tablespoons agave syrup

Instructions

  • Blend all ingredients until smooth and creamy.
