Today, it’s all about my favorite brands I worked with this year: Cabot Cheese, Sabra, Stonyfield, and Bob’s Red Mill & sharing the love. All staples in my kitchen, whether or not they are clients, these brands follow valuable missions in their company, supporting their local communities, and more. Read more on why I love working with them and scroll down to win big!
‘Tis the season for giving and nothing makes me happier than when people give me food – thus today it’s all about sharing with you some of my favorite food companies I’ve worked with this year, whether in recipe developing, testing, or just buying their products like crazy at my local store. These are listed in no specific order – I love them all equally!
Brand: Cabot Cheese Why I love it: First of all, it’s cheese and not any kind of cheese. I love that Cabot sources all their milk from local New England Dairy farmers (all of whom also own the company!), which assures me of the quality. The cheddars are considered some of the best in the world! When visiting Vermont last year, we had a chance to taste test about eight varieties of Cabot Cheddars and it’s amazing how each cheddar is special and has specific flavor notes. So there’s something for everyone! All-time favorite product: Currently, it’s their new Farmhouse Reserve Cheddar. A staple in our household though is the Pepper Jack Cheese – my husband loves a bit of heat in his cheeses and this one is just the right amount! Also, make sure to try their low fat Greek vanilla bean yogurt, it’s to die for!
Brand: Stonyfield Organic Why I love it: It’s protein packed, fills us up, and is delicious! Plus, it’s locally made in New England (NH, to be more specific), with their start as an organic farming school turned yogurt crazy! Funny story: the founder of Stonyfield was actually my best friend’s soccer coach back in the day and she remembers him bringing yogurt to their soccer matches as snacks! Small world! All-time favorite product: Honestly, we love all the varieties of Stonyfield yogurt, but my favorite right now is their Petite Creme version, a milder, less tart version of the classic Greek yogurt. These are amazing on their own, but even better when added to a smoothie. It makes smoothies super silky! Brand: Bob’s Red Mill Why I love it: What’s not to love about a brand that carries almost everything you need to lead a healthy lifestyle? Bob’s Red Mill carries everything from ancient grains, whole wheat flours, cereals, oats and so much more. Plus, they have a dedicate gluten free facility so you don’t have to worry about anything if you’re living a gluten free lifestyle! All-time favorite product: Hands down their farro – it’s not only so good for me, but it’s hearty and absorbs great flavors in whatever I’m cooking it with. It is high in fiber and a good source of iron and protein!
Brand: Sabra Why I love it: I’m all about a brand that offers a variety of products, and Sabra has it all: hummus, salsa, guacamole, and Greek yogurt dips that are sure to delight everyone. And sure they are awesome toe at on their own or with chips, but through my work with Sabra, I’ve discovered so many ways to introduce these products into my recipes. So get creative in the kitchen! All-time favorite product: In our family, my husband loves the Supremely Spicy Humus while I am crazy about the Mango Peach Salsa. Like, seriously crazy. Like, it’s the best store-bought salsa you’ll ever taste.
Disclaimer: I’ve previously worked with these four companies on a regular basis and stand by their products. They are a staple in our homes – and I hope they become staples in your homes as well! Opinions are 100% my own!
My favorite part of the holiday season is getting together with friends and family over great food.
The best part of the holiday season is the spirit of giving often not seen during other times of the year! And it’s also lovely to catch up with family and friends 🙂
My favorite part of the season is going to church as a family on Christmas Eve and then, coming home to eat and reminise about Christmases gone by.
