Spicy Grilled Pear Ketchup #loveNZfruit #ad

Summer cookouts are approaching and you’re going to need to stock up on condiments, and not just the usual ketchup and mayonnaise. This Spicy Grilled Pear Ketchup is a combination of spicy and sweet, perfect dolloped on burgers, sandwiches, and hot dogs!

Although my husband and I live a bizarre life where our summers are the busiest time of year, since we work at a restaurant on Martha’s Vineyard, that doesn’t mean we don’t take the time to grill and head to the beach on our one day off a week (usually a Monday). Last Monday, we decided to fire up the grill for the first time to grill some hot dogs and I wanted to make a special condiment to go with them. Having a flat of Taylor’s Gold Pears sitting on my counter, it dawned on me that a pear ketchup would be the perfect condiment to slather our hot dogs with!

That pear ketchup is calling my name. I think I have everything to make it with!!! I can’t wait for this one!! Great recipe. I love pears so much in many recipes. It is that little sweetness that is so much better than apples or such!

I’m SO in love with this ketchup, Nelly! Thinking it might be perfect with some grilled chicken or pork.. or turned into a vinaigrette on a salad… YUM!

Love this, Nelly! I can almost taste it! And I think I’d put this on just about anything. I could even see squirting some into vinaigrette to top a pear salad. =)
