Celebrate the slightly warmer weather with this Citrus White Wine Sangria packed with fresh citrus like lemons, limes, and oranges, as well as frozen strawberries for a pop of color and flavor! This sangria would be perfect for Mother’s Day Brunch!
Slowly but surely, winter is saying goodbye and we couldn’t be happier! Long gone are the days of watching the snow fall through your windows while sipping on spiced hot chocolate. And no more wearing a coat, a scarf, gloves, and a hat just to pick up the mail. I’m excited the summer work season is approaching and that spring is finally here. Even though we’ve still got a chilly breeze blowing through our windows, we can actually open those said windows and not freeze to death.
And that’s where this Citrus White Wine Sangria comes in – it’s the perfect drink to celebrate the start of warmer weather, one you can sip with friends on a Friday night to prepare for brunch with the ladies on a Sunday morning.
This is a simple sangria, with pretty basic ingredients that are stellar and make this recipe shine. As you can see below, I used a Cardamom Clove Simple Syrup made by Royal Rose. This company makes some of the best syrups in the industry and I always keep a bottle or two of their syrups in my pantry for quick cocktails and even desserts. Alongside the syrup is my latest favorite sparkling water from Mountain Valley. It’s citrusy, bubbly, and adds the perfect amount of bubbles to the sangria.
The cardamom clove syrup adds a “je ne sais quoi” – a little something extra to what would be a bright and citrusy sangria. Mind you, it’s still bright, but the cardamom brings a warmth to the drink unlike anything else and the cloves collaborate with a spice that makes this, by far, some of the easiest and best sangria I’ve ever made.
Oh and the recipe below is more like a guide than anything – use whatever citrus you have on hand, make your own simple syrup and infuse it with vanilla beans, or mix a variety of sparkling waters to your liking! Cheers! Salud!

Is it 5 o’clock yet??? This looks delicious and I love using white wine for sangria instead of red. It looks like the perfect refreshing spring/summer cocktail!
