As every month, today I’m sharing some new products that have impressed me in the kitchen, that have saved me time in the kitchen, and that have created in me a fan for life! Thanks for check them out and supporting the brands that make this possible! Welcome to this month’s, New This Month.
Meal Mixers and Two-Step Mixers by Cookwell & Company
If you tend to be short on time when it’s dinnertime, these mixers from Cookwell & Company are pretty much all you need to get a delicious meal on the table. The company has searched far and wide across the nation, looking for basic ethnic sauces to reproduce and make available to consumers, like this Chicken Tinga. Others we’ve tried and loved are the Veracruz Meal Mixer and the Two-Step Green Chile Stew Mix. You basically sauté your protein (chicken, beef, pork, tofu), add some vegetables (peppers, onions, carrots, corn), and dump in some of the mixers. I promise, you won’t be disappointed once you try these. Very clean flavors, most of their products are gluten free, and they try to use as much local Texas produce as possible!
Terzetto by Mama Francesca
I’ve got a confession to make and it’s that I love love love grated cheese on my pasta. Love it to the extent that I hoard grated cheese in my pantry, fearing of running out. But now, I’m so happy to have discovered this brand, specifically their Terzetto, a blend of Parmesan, Asiago, and Romano. It’s a simple grated cheese, with nothing but cheese (and cellulose powder to prevent caking and potassium sorbate to protect flavor, which I can live with!) I love that it’s family established and operated – plus they are incredibly engaging on their Facebook page!
Banana Flour by Wedo Gluten Free
If you know me, you know of my love for bananas. Their is always a bunch on the counter and a couple plastic baggies with frozen bananas in the freezer (for smoothies). So when a friend of mine handed me this gluten-free banana flour, I burst with joy! I have yet to bake with it (recipe post coming soon), but I wanted to share with you all that they have a Kickstarter project going to support this product and get it into the hands of more and more people. Beef Pho Broth by Pacific Natural Foods
From one of my favorite brands, comes a broth base for one of my favorite soups. Pho was introduced to me by my best friend a couple of years back and I can say there’s been no return. The love of pho is like no other: the hot, steaming broth topped with fresh herbs, sprouts, and thinly sliced meat all make for the perfect winter dish. But a good broth takes time and effort, which sometimes we don’t have and that’s where this Beef Pho Broth comes in!
Fuerte Coffee Beans by Puro Fairtrade
Because of the copious amounts of coffee I consume a day, I try to stick with fair-trade and organic coffees when I can. Coming from a caribbean island where coffee is a staple of farmers all over the Dominican Republic and a main source of income, I want to be sure that my hometown farmers are getting a fair pay for their gorgeous coffee beans. Puro Fairtrade Coffee cares as much for the environment and thus focuses on preserving it, while harvesting some great coffee! Feel inspired to buy fair-trade coffee by watching their video – it’s one of my favorites. The coffee beans are superb – I grind them daily and the smell is intoxicating, producing a rich, dark brew.
Condiments by Victoria Amory
Nothing I love more than artisan and small-batch condiments. My obsession with mayonnaise makes me scout out the best products (because sometimes I need something more than Hellman’s). Another odd fact about me is that eating ketchup during winter months makes the cold bearable because ketchup reminds me of summertime grilling. These condiments by Victoria Amory make perfect hostess gifts too – unique in their flavors and gorgeous labeling make them a fine gift for any occasion.

I’m interested to try out that banana flour in my gluten-free baking!
I love the meal mixers. We have tried out several and love them.
I’m with you on the cheese – never enough!
I’m really intrigued by the banana flour! I had seen the pho broth around and was skeptical about it, but I’ll have to give it a shot since you recommend it. I love pho, and that could make for a super easy weeknight meal.
